Pinnacle Strike Force and The Pinnacle New Release Force are
2 distinct field sales operations with a total head count
of 20 personnel, more than any other independent distribution
operation. Each has a dedicated manager who takes responsibility
for area targeting, motivating, appraising and reporting on
results.
The
strike force visit shops on a weekly cycle. A limited range
of singles, albums and video are pre-sold. The rapid reaction
and quick results particularly suit those labels whose marketing
strategies constantly evolve. We can make new developments
count on a daily basis.

Concentrating on album and video pre-sales, the Pinnacle New
Release team call on retailers at least once a fortnight.
Established artists gain benefit from the longer lead times,
equally, less time sensitive releases also gain greater exposure.
This
two prolonged attack is in keeping with Pinnacles commitment
to give an equal service to all distributed labels and releases.
It increases our strategic options and boosts our on the road
presence beyond parallel. All releases benefit.
We
present the complete range of titles across the spectrum of
UK retail accounts, from the independent taste makers to the
high street chains. Where a specialist service is needed,
we present specific buyers with the titles appropriate to
their chosen genre. Over 600 shops receive that all important
regular call.
Both
teams actively engage in post release sales, sustaining the
life of new titles and catalogue. Range campaigns and re-promotions
are a regular feature of our presentations. We target more
specific activity around tours, media profile and P.A.s.
Professional
presentation is fundamental and we provide both teams with
a standardised set of sales notes. We create a visual impact
by scanning in the original, full colour sleeve artwork. This
is further enhanced by promotional copies of releases to play
or leave in store.
I.T
developments have seen the sales folder and the order pad
replaced with lap top computers. This will open up the information
that is on Pinnacles data systems to the field sales teams,
bringing greater detail and sophistication to instore sales
presentation. Equally, the information that this generates
at the front line will improve our central database daily.
With
a strong blend of youth experience our teams have been employed
for their passion and knowledge. This is coupled with a sound
