Flexibility and innovation are the twin goals of Pinnacle's distribution arm.

Occupying a 3.5 acre site adjacent to the M25 and M20, giving access from the Channel Tunnel and Central London within an hour, the 68,000 sq. ft warehouse is state of the art.
This purpose-built warehouse holds a massive 40,000 active product lines, generating 500,000 orders a year. It has the capacity to deal with bulk stock, as well as the picking lanes, under one roof, which gives great advantages in stock management.

Within this massive operation Pinnacle's independent ethos is strong. The systems are designed to benefit the biggest and smallest customers equally without discrimination. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential given the diverse nature of our customer's needs.

Information technology is embraced wherever it is demonstrated to offer a clear advantage. At the heart of this is the Pinnacle Computer System, which holds all necessary information about customers and product. Barcode technology is used to control stock movement. With warehouse staff using hand held terminals, the Pinnacle Computer System is constantly updated in real time.

As well as our own Computer System, Pinnacle works in co-operation with external systems. Leading the way, and we continue to develop EDI links that give our customers access 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Providing access and information are the key principles. Rapid transfer of orders, returns authorisation and stock management information are the immediate benefits to our customers.

By working with the freight company we are continuing to improve delivery times and order tracking. Orders placed by 17.00 are normally delivered to UK mainland addresses within 24 hours of being placed. This sets the standard for others to follow.

Pinnacle is noted for its innovations which are followed by the rest of the music industry. For example, Pinnacle was the first distributor to start the shipment of new releases to retail during the week prior to release.
This enables shops to process and display titles from the start of business on Monday morning, rather than having to wait for courier delivery during the day. The benefit to sales is obvious and there is greater focus for marketing campaigns. This is now adopted as common practice by the rest of the industry.

Pinnacle now accounts for over one third of the games based software distribution in the UK.

In response to demand, Pinnacle Distribution now offer direct deals for stickering, shrink wrapping, bundling and rebuilding. With our ability to generate barcodes in house this further opens the avenues for sales and marketing.
